Over the festive period the Story Plant team were busy carrying out a range of projects across the UK, as our fleet could be spotted from Edinburgh down the London. The works throughout weeks 39 and 40 utilised a variety of our fleet including wheeled and tracked RRV’s, MEWP’s, dozers and unimogs.
Across 14 projects for clients including Rail Systems Alliance Scotland, Vital Rail, Ballycommon, Central Rail Systems Alliance, 1stinrail and Story Contracting, the team completed over 300 shifts, utilising a total of 72 different machines from the Story Plant fleet.
The Story Plant team in Scotland carried out significant works for Rail Systems Alliance Scotland, which included the completion of a range of renewals and drainage works at Powderhall, Chesterhall, Penmanshiel, Carstairs, Eglington Street North and Wardlaw Terrace.
In England, the team were busy supporting Story Contracting’s Rail team at Hartlepool Station, Manchester Piccadilly platform renewals and at the LEC1/9E bridge renewal project in Camden, London. In addition, the teams works for Ballycommon and 1stinrail took place in Middlesbrough, at Denmark Street and Boundary Road Bridge, with the two sites being completed just 200 yards apart, both on behalf of AMCO as the principal contractor.
