Emma took on the role of Managing Director of Story Plant Limited in February 2022. She had previously held the role of Construction Managing Director for Story Contracting after returning to the company in April 2019 following a successful stretch at Arup. Emma led the Construction division to deliver a growing portfolio of multi-discipled civil engineering, infrastructure, bridges and industrial building projects.
Having worked in the industry for 15 years and becoming the first Cumbrian woman to study at Europe’s leading business school, INSEAD, Emma upholds a strong reputation for her industry knowledge, ability to deliver and understanding of the local economy.
With over 28 years’ experience in the Rail and Plant industry, Paul joined Story Plant as Business Development Director in August 2020 from Speedy Asset Service. In his role, Paul works with the rest of the team to grow and develop the division’s projects and client base.
Paul brings extensive experience having held the position of Business Development Director for over nine years in both Speedy and A-Plant, and previous experience working with Carillion Rail and Torrent Trackside Ltd.
Mark joined Story Plant in 2001, having previously spent 18 years in Plant hire, Rail and Opencast mining. In 2003 he moved to the Training Department, taking on Trainer/Assessor and Training Manager roles before he transferred back to Plant to head the Operations Team. In 2016 Mark took up the new post of Head of Technical Development with his key responsibilities being to provide technical support in Plant activities and to explore innovative solutions to meet client needs. In 2023 Mark took on the role of Professional Head of Plant, including additional responsibility for Story Plant’s POS activities to support its continued growth, as well as providing increased support to Story Plant’s regional maintenance functions.
